Iron or some metals are oxidized and corroded in the vicinity of air and due to humidity, we call this phenomenon “Rust“. When iron is exposed to oxygen and moisture, an oxidation reaction occurs. This chemical reaction produces iron oxide, which appears as a brown powder (rust) on the surface of the metal.Â
