Aref Anti-Rust Paint

Anti-Rust and its Application

Iron or some metals are oxidized and corroded in the vicinity of air and due to humidity, we call this phenomenon “Rust“. When iron is exposed to oxygen and moisture, an oxidation reaction occurs. This chemical reaction produces iron oxide, which appears as a brown powder (rust) on the surface of the metal.

Corrosion can significantly reduce the strength of manufactured structural elements. It reduces the thickness of the metal and can even leave holes in beam webs and other structural components. Flaking on the surface of a metal can create unwanted friction in certain applications.

Metal Rust Surface

Factors that Cause Rusting of Metals:

  • Humidity, rain, seawater, or salt spray
  • Acids, alkalis, other chemicals, and industrial fumes
  • Soils including clay
  • Wear and tear
  • Pressure
  • Microorganisms
  • Electrolysis, electrical imbalance

How Does Anti-Rust Paint Protect Metal?

Anti-Rust Paints are manufactured to withstand wear, high impact, extreme temperatures, chemicals, water, and many other environments for a wide variety of applications. These materials withstand the structure and stretch without cracking even when the structure changes or vibrates. The impermeable nature of anti-rust creates a seamless, leak-proof barrier.

Anti-Rust Paint Application:

Aref anti-rust paint is Ideal for use on metal, concrete, or cement surfaces. It is suitable for metal structures, metal poles, partition walls, fences, doors, gates, trailers, and other metal surfaces, both indoors and outdoors.

Alkyd anti-rust paint protects metal surfaces from rust. This alkyd anti-rust covers the metal surface well and prevents oxygen and moisture from reaching the surface and protects against rust.

Aref Anti-Rust Paint:

This product is produced in two colors, ocher (red) and gray, and it is prepared on the basis of alkyd resin and using the best materials resistant to corrosion of metal surfaces inside and outside the building, entrance door, window frame, and in weather conditions. Moderate is recommended for the protection of iron surfaces, metal structures in construction environments, and industrial sheds.

Aref Alkyd Anti-Rust Paint Advantages:

  • Proper drying time
  • Durable and long-lasting
  • High covering power and adhesion
  • Good stability against corrosion, wear, and atmospheric factors

Anti-rust refers to a substance or treatment that helps prevent or inhibit the formation of rust on metal surfaces. Rust is a type of corrosion that occurs when iron or steel reacts with oxygen and water, forming a reddish-brown coating of iron oxide. To prevent rust from forming, anti-rust coatings can be applied to metal surfaces. There are several types of anti-rust coatings, including: 1. Zinc coatings: Zinc coatings are a type of galvanization that involves coating the metal surface with a layer of zinc. Zinc acts as a sacrificial anode and corrodes before the underlying metal does. 2. Paints and sealants: Paints and sealants are another option for preventing rust. These coatings create a barrier between the metal surface and the environment, preventing water and oxygen from reaching the metal. 3. Chromate treatments: Chromate treatments are a type of chemical treatment that involves applying a solution of chromates to the metal surface. The chromates form a protective layer on the surface of the metal, preventing corrosion. However, chromate treatments are not as commonly used due to their toxic nature.
